Organisational and team development

We mean what we say:

"We have never walked into an office with a ready-made 'consultancy solution'"
.

Our team and organisational development activities develop out of:
  • the findings of our organisation evaluation;
  • the challenges you face because of your position on the business cycle;
  • our resources: approaches, instruments and the hugely varied experiences of our core team and expert partners.
Thus, we offer client-led solutions which are underpinned by fundamental business ecology thinking.

The basic characteristics of successful organisations and teams are well-known.  They know and understand their goals.  The roles and skills of  the individuals within any such team match the task.  Good team selection must be based upon the experience and competencies of its member and the context within which it operates.  We add two essential requirements:

Strategic Diversity
- by which we mean diversity of thinking, approach to problems and attitudes to change rather than the more generally used concept of gender, ethnic and other diversities.

The ability of the team to cope with ambiguity and complexity.  Organisations are complex living systems and successful teams deal with this complexity and ambiguity with a high degree of maturity. But, to quote ourselves again, it's easier to show than tell.  See how BP used our approach to understand diversity in a core business team and to transform it, by downloading the pdf below.
